Senior Financial Analyst - Consumer Products

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our client's Finance team. This critical role will be responsible for providing insightful financial analysis, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving financial performance across our diverse product lines. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting within a consumer products setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
• Analyze monthly and quarterly financial results, identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare insightful financial reports and presentations for management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and actionable insights.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Operations) to provide financial guidance and support business initiatives.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of product profitability, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
• Evaluate potential investments and business development opportunities through financial modeling and analysis.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes and systems.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior financial analysts.
• Ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably within the consumer products industry.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statement analysis.
• Expert proficiency in Excel, including advanced modeling and data manipulation skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
