Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Senior Network Engineer (CCIE) Location: Baltimore, MD ( On-site) Duration: May 9, 2025 February 28, 2026(Possible Extension) Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance About the Role: Peratons Global Health and Financial Solutions sector is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with CCIE-level expertise to support the NISS program. This is an exciting opportunity to work on nationwide wireless upgrades and network access control systems in a large-scale, mission-critical environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead the WLAN solution rollout to ~1,950 remote field offices. Design, improve, and maintain Network Admission Control (NAC) systems for WLAN and VPN access. Survey and assess network upgrade requirements for remote and campus sites. Analyze existing network configurations and define implementation plans. Prepare and deploy network equipment, software, and configurations using pre-engineered templates. Oversee and support field installation contractors, ensuring smooth execution of site surveys and installations. Upgrade existing network configurations to enable new features. Evaluate and test LAN/WAN/WLAN/NAC hardware and software (e.g., Cisco IOS, CatOS). Develop and maintain technical documentation (network diagrams, specifications, SOPs). Provide third-level support , including after-hours/weekend support as needed. Monitor and enhance system performance, service delivery, and network reliability. Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders. Requirements Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 12+ years of relevant experience (OR) Masters degree with 10+ years (OR) PhD with 7+ years. 5+ years experience in large enterprise networking (3,000+ nodes). Cisco CCIE certification (Routing & Switching, Wireless, Security, or Data Center). 3+ years experience with AWS network connectivity in large enterprises. #J-18808-Ljbffr ZipRecruiter
